CANYON OF DEATH Now Available

The long-awaited, much anticipated Canyon of Death, the third book in the Jake Silver Adventure series by Jere D. James, is now a reality! The book arrived today at Moonlight Mesa's headquarters and already half of the first order has been sent out.

"I'm relieved to get these books out," said publisher Becky Coffield. "I get nervous when people pre-pay, because then I have to be RESPONSIBLE and actually keep track of their name, address, etc."

Books will be sent to Shirley Johnson, Senior Reviewer for MidWest Book Review and Steve Myall of Western Fiction Review for reviews, as well as ezine reviewer Barbra Lee.

Canyon of Death is also available on Kindle and Nook, although the publisher is not terribly pleased with the Kindle upload and may re-do that project again. It's fine except for one page. I suppose I shouldn't obsess about it," Coffield said. The book is also available on the publisher's website: www.moonlightmesaassociates.com.

LARGE PRINT EDITION NOW AT PRINTERS

Moonlight Mesa's first LARGE PRINT EDITION title has been uploaded to the printers. "I am very excited about this," Coffield said. "I just hope we can make enough money on the book to at least break even!" The book should be available in early July. Coffield chose Saving Tom Black for the first LARGE PRINT EDITION because of the book's popularity, size, and its non-offensiveness in terms of language and sexuality.

NEW AUTHOR PROJECTS

Jere D. James is heading to the Arizona high country to ride and work on his newest title, High Country Killers. The book is set in the Mogollon Rim and adjacent areas. The book is slated for publication in mid-2012.

R.L. Coffield, Moonlight Mesa's suspense writer (The award-winning Ben Thomas series) is planning on two nonfiction works: Sailing the West and Beyond the Textbook: Using Drama and Art in the Classroom to Enhance Learning. Whew. That's a mouthful. There are no certain dates for publication of either title, although 2013 and 2014 seem likely. Although neither title is "Western," the publisher said she doesn't care since it's been impossible to locate good Western nonfiction.

Paula L. Silici , author of A Way in the Wilderness, has re-started on another Western romance.

CLOSE OUT ON COOKBOOKS

Moonlight Mesa's two cookbooks are now on a close out. "We're OUT of the cookbook business! No turning back!" said the publisher. Both books, You Can Conquer TMJ: Ideas and Recipes and One Pot Galley Gourmet are ON SALE for $5.00 plus s/h. Use the order form on the publisher's website, or call or email.
