Publisher and Poet Have Final Meeting

Moonlight Mesa Associates, Inc. publisher, Becky Coffield, and cowboy poet Stoney Greywolf Bowers, met for the final time prior to the publication of Reflections from the Wilderness, Bowers' first volume of cowboy poetry, in Laughlin, Nevada, July 29th.

"It was a productive meeting, and several key decisions were made," said Coffield. "I want to involve my authors in certain decisions regarding the publishing of their books. Stoney had some valuable input, and he's always filled with good ideas."

"A few changes will be made to the book before it is uploaded for a proof, so it's good to find these things out now...rather than after the fact," Coffield added. "Things are nearing completion. Barcodes are ordered, blurbs are coming in, things are falling in line. Vin Libassi has done a truly, truly outstanding job on the book's cover, and I think the layout is exceptionally good."

As for Saving Tom Black, Jere D. James' western/romance, Coffield says the company is ready to upload to produce the ARCs. Meanwhile, Coffield has listed James' second book, Apache, with Bowkerlink and assigned an ISBN. "Even though the book is not finished, I love what I'm reading. I have no doubt that Apache will be every bit as good as Saving Tom Black. Definitely a different feel to the book, however. Apache is a sequel to Saving Tom Black. Both are Jake Silver Adventures."

The publisher is aiming for an April publication date for Apache. "We've got to hustle, but I know readers of Saving Tom Black will want another Jake Silver adventure asap." Coffield has also tapped Vin Libassi for the cover designer and Paula Silci as chief editor.
